Xero Feature: Customer Customisation

Screen print of Xero contactsRegular readers will know how much we love Xero here and so every so often we show case a feature that we love….

Another great advantage of Xero is the ability to customise every customer or supplier.

By clicking into them via the Contacts section of Xero, you can then edit the following:

  • Contact details – including adding multiple contacts for the same customer/supplier
  • Default nominal and VAT accounts – so that all invoices raised for the customer/supplier in question are allocated to the most relevant Xero account, with the correct VAT treatment.
  • Bank account details
  • Invoice Settings – particularly useful if you have different/unique terms with this particular contact, as this will override your general settings when raising invoices for the contact.
  • Xero network key – this is particularly useful if your contact also uses Xero. By entering their Network Key, this will mean that invoices are shared directly from Xero to Xero, further automating your processes and increasing your efficiency.
